African Border Worlds

Africa’s borders are not simply arbitrary lines or spaces of marginalization. They are dynamic sites where ordinary people actively shape—and are shaped by—cross-border economies, migration regimes, and state power. Through four ethnographic case studies, this book humanizes the complex worlds African border-crossers inhabit.
