Pulmonary Physiology for Clinicians

This textbook teaches the basic concepts of pulmonary physiology to young physicians. Many young pulmonologists, internists, anesthetists, etc., graduate with only a superficial understanding of basic concepts. Given this void, many practitioners miss valuable information available to them in their pulmonary function test results. This book - unlike any other - is organized in the format of a test result report from a pulmonary function laboratory. The first four chapter headings, static function, dynamic function, diffusion and arterial blood gas analysis, are essentially the headings of a standard pulmonary test.
