Yours Always

YOURS ALWAYS provides a unique and intimate look into the lives of Bertha Warburton Drake (1866-1943) and Henry Clarkson Scott (1859-1911), as told through excerpts from their nearly 1500 letters, their diaries and related historical accounts. The sheer volume of their letters and diaries provides an unprecedented time capsule to this past and the reason for the book's comprehensive length (705 pages). In her last letter to Henry before their marriage in 1893, Bertha wrote: "... there is another greater reason why I do not fear the future, my dearest. I believe that you and I truly belong to those 'whom God hath joined together' and I am not afraid, my dearest, to promise 'in the sight of God and of this company' to be yours always." As one reads this extraordinary book, the reader comes to know how "yours always" embodies the faith and love that Bertha and Henry shared for each other.
