First published in 1964, A History of Venezuela is based on Dr Guillermo Morón’s Historia de Venezuela. Key sections are abridged while preserving the author's thesis, plus two new chapters are added: one covering post-1936 politics after tyrant Gómez's death, another analyzing 1960s economics.
