Beyond the Bleeding Heart

In 1860, in the sleepy town of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, two young women attempt to make ends meet after the death of their parents. When the country suddenly erupts into civil war, the sisters are separated from each other and everything they hold dear. Heartbroken as the country they love collapses, they move forward to assist in a dangerous and deadly fight to preserve the life of a nation. Will the appearance of a mysterious blacksmith and a young Lieutenant only add to the girls' struggles or help their cause? Can two young women possibly survive war, prison camps, and betrayal, yet still find love and trust in the most unexpected places?
