Disengagement and Deradicalization in the Context of Islamist Extremism

This volume examines the strategies, processes, and challenges of disengagement and deradicalization in the context of Islamist extremism. Samira Benz  is an expert in the prevention of violent extremism. She works internationally as a consultant for civil society organizations and governments and is currently based in the United States. Dr. Georgios Sotiriadis  is a criminal law expert and criminologist. He serves as an advisor on disengagement and deradicalization at the Senate Department for the Interior and Sport in Berlin, Germany.
