K Section Kids

Growing up in Belair at Bowie, a Levitt planned community, was a multi-faceted gift. This book is a firsthand account of that formative experience, starting with the construction of the family's home and progressing to the author's halfway point at Kenilworth Elementary. Each chapter is a self-contained "campfire story." Most everyone who grew up in Bowie during the 60s and 70s will relate to this book on a personal level-and much of it captures the flavor of suburban America at the time.
