Knowledge Societies

The author provide a conceptual and practical definition and characterization of a knowledge society, fulfilling a major gap in the knowledge sciences literature. The authors ground the characterization on the role knowledge capital plays in spaces and places, thereby drawing from and connecting to other relevant disciplines.
