Phyllis of the Forest

Phyllis faces stares and whispers in the city. But in a forest near her home, she climbs trees, catches fish, and becomes whoever she imagines-a mermaid, a fairy, a knight. Based on the childhood of North Minneapolis resident Phyllis Chatham, this is a story about finding freedom in nature.
