Sylloge Nummorum Graecorum, Volume V, Ashmolean Museum, Oxford. Part IX, Bosporus-Aeolis

This fully-illustrated catalogue publishes 1601 ancient Greek coins issued by cities stretching from the modern Crimea to the area of Aeolis on the west coast of modern Turkey. This is a most welcome addition to the SNG's cataloguing of the Ashmolean Museum's rich holdings, the first since Part IV appeared in 1981.
