This is a useful companion glossary for anyone reading or teaching The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien. It lists words that might not be found in the dictionaries used by elementary-level students. To accommodate different editions of The Hobbit, words are listed by chapter in the order they appear in the book with an alphabetical index in the back.
