My prayer is that something I've written will help someone know that you can survive and thrive from hardship, disappointment, adversity, poverty, and discrimination. I was determined to have a better quality of life than what my parents had. I refuse to be a captive of my environment; I stepped out on faith and out of the normal arena and found a way to make a successful career. Being born into poverty doesn't mandate that you live in poverty forever. Have goals and inspirations in life, you may not accomplish them all. You will never know what you are capable of if you never try. When you change the quality of your thinking, you change the quality of your life. Get up off the doorsteps of life and walk toward your future. Layers of adversity and shattered dreams are peeled from our lives daily, we lose sometimes in order to gain. Move from what was to what is. Take time to strive for better, patience comes in waiting. The moon needs time to become full, flowers need time to rest during the winter, rest but don't stop, and seeds need time to grow. You can have a phenomenal triumph over life's misfortunes. I'm thankful for my struggles because without them I wouldn't have stumbled across my strengths. (Alex Elle) Failure will never overtake me if my determination to succeed is strong enough. ( O.G. )
